General Maintenance Points

Clean the surface of the rotary joint regularly, and remove dust and debris in a timely manner to avoid affecting the heat dissipation effect of the equipment.

Frequently check the bolts fixing the rotary joint at the motor foot. If looseness is found, use a torque wrench to fasten it to the specified torque.

Regularly check the vibration of the rotary joint during operation. If abnormal vibration occurs, timely investigate the cause.

Keep the inside of the rotary joint drum and connecting pipeline clean; special attention should be paid to new equipment before commissioning, and a filter must be installed to prevent foreign objects from entering and causing abnormal wear of the joint.

For rotary joints equipped with oil injection devices, lubricating oil should be added regularly to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of the bearing.

For rotary joints conveying fluid medium, they should be operated with gradual temperature rise to avoid damage to the equipment caused by sudden temperature changes.

Check the wear degree and thickness change of the sealing surface of the seal (the normal wear amount is generally 5-10mm); observe the friction track of the sealing surface. If there are problems such as three-point intermittence and scratches, the seal must be replaced immediately.

Product-Specific Maintenance Precautions

Hot Oil Rotary Joints (e.g., WQ1-20R/L)

1. Heat up gradually before startup; do not introduce 300℃ hot oil suddenly at low temperature.

2. Check the antimony-impregnated graphite seal ring; replace immediately if scorched or cracked.

3. Perform maintenance after cooling to normal temperature to avoid high-temperature scalds and flushing the shell with cold water.

4. Add high-temperature resistant lubricating oil; do not use ordinary lubricating oil.

Water Rotary Joints (e.g., H850ZZ.4.9.0)

1. Clean the filter regularly to prevent impurities in water from wearing the sealing surface.

2. Drain accumulated water and impurities in the pipeline before restarting after long-term shutdown.

3. Check for rust and leakage at flange welds; derust and seal in a timely manner.

4. For customized models for aluminum plants, additionally clean aluminum ash and dust on the surface.

Hydraulic Rotary Joints (e.g., SLU-4000 Series)

1. Check the cleanliness of hydraulic oil regularly; replace immediately if deteriorated or contaminated.

2. Decompress to normal pressure before maintenance to prevent high-pressure oil injection injury.

3. No oil injection is required for oil-free composite bearings; replace bearings immediately if stuck or abnormal noise occurs.

4. Check the QPQ layer of stainless steel; reprocess in a timely manner if worn or peeled off.
