The 'life Link' Of The Steel Industry: Technological Breakthrough And Application Revolution Of Buried Rotary Joints
Mar 09, 2025
In the continuous casting workshop where molten steel rushes, as the 1500 ℃ hot steel flow gradually solidifies and forms in the crystallizer, a set of inconspicuous metal devices are enduring continuous rotation of 200 revolutions per minute and hydraulic impact of 35 MPa. This is the essential core component in the modern steel industry - the buried rotary joint. Unlike traditional industrial joints, this precision device designed specifically for extreme working conditions has pushed rotary sealing technology to a new level.

In the steel production process, rotary joints need to deal with three "purgatory" tests: intermittent high-pressure water impact in the secondary cooling zone of continuous casting, continuous high-frequency vibration of the rolling mill transmission system, and long-term high-temperature radiation of the annealing furnace roller.

HanGe ROJOS supplies different configurations of embedded rotary joints according to the different needs of domestic and foreign customers. As shown in the figure below, we can provide embedded rotary joints with stainless steel shells, which can meet customer needs and have lower prices compared to embedded rotary joints with brass shells. This also saves our customers procurement costs.
