Spring That Cannot Be Underestimated in High-temperature Rotary Joints

Most high-temperature rotary joints use rubber O-ring as a sealing structure, which is not only wear-resistant but also has a large friction torque. When the rotary joint is melted and shrunk, the glass lining pipe is supported between the inlet and outlet rotary joints; To make the glass liner rotate at a uniform speed, it is necessary to maintain the sealing of both ends of the glass liner and the rotating joint device to prevent gas leakage inside the tube and prevent external air from entering the joint tube.

High temperature rotary joints first need to deal with high-temperature environments and media, so it is required that the sealing components have characteristics of high temperature resistance and corrosion. Springs cannot be ignored and can be divided into three categories based on the load they are subjected to: springs with a number of applications above 106, springs with a number of applications between 103 and 105 and those subjected to impact loads, and springs with a number of applications under variable loads below 103; The allowable stress of the rotary joint spring treated with strong pressure can be increased to 25%, and the allowable stress of the spring treated with spray can be increased by 20%.

The specific pressure of spring load on the normal direction of the end face and spherical surface is called the spring specific pressure, which has a significant impact on the sealing performance of high-temperature rotary joints. The higher the specific pressure, the better the sealing performance, and the greater the frictional heat generated by the end face. This often leads to a decrease in sealing reliability and abnormal wear; When transmitting fluid medium in high-temperature rotary joints, the pressure of the fluid has a significant impact on the specific pressure of the end face. In the joint structure, the specific pressure caused by the fluid medium in the normal direction of the end face and spherical surface is sometimes several times or several tens of times that generated by the spring, which cannot be ignored.
The glass liner is melted and shrunk at high temperatures. The high temperature of the exhaust gas discharged from the liner causes the high-temperature rotary joint to operate under high pressure and high temperature of 200 ℃. The sealing performance of the rotary joint is directly related to the processing quality of the product; Poor sealing results in poor reliability, and the use and repair of the equipment can greatly affect its operation.
