When selecting a rotary joint, the specific applicable model needs to be determined based on the requirements of the operating conditions. Especially for high-temperature rotary joints, the applicable models vary depending on the medium used! Our equipment manufacturers need to judge the high-temperature rotary joint based on its usage. Generally, we need to confirm the working conditions of the medium fluid, pressure, temperature, speed, and other factors to choose a suitable joint model.
The rotary joint is composed of multiple sealing components, and the temperature range it can withstand is determined by them. We need to confirm which high-temperature medium is used, and the commonly used high-temperature conditions are the following three.
1. The medium is hot water
The general temperature is between 50 ℃ and 180 ℃. In this case, we can use H-type high-temperature water joints. This type of high-temperature water rotary adapter adopts high-temperature sealing, with stainless steel and imported graphite as the sealing body, and their main medium of use is water. However, the temperature resistance of stainless steel and graphite is not afraid of hot water invasion at 100 ℃.
2. The medium is steam
The general temperature is between 200 ℃ and 355 ℃. We recommend using Q-type high-temperature steam rotary joints. The overall structure of this model has changed, and the flat section seal has been changed to a spherical seal. The double rod external support structure of the antimony immersed sealing ring can withstand high pressure and high speed.
3. The medium is thermal oil
The temperature of the general heat transfer oil medium is between 220-350 ℃. If ordinary sealing components are applied to heat transfer oil, they may burn out after about a week of use. We recommend using high-temperature hot oil rotary joints, external cooling systems, and higher temperature resistance. The high-temperature bearing is lubricated with circulating oil, and the outer tube is designed with heat insulation to reduce bearing temperature. It has good versatility, is easy to exchange, long service life, and high reliability. So when we need to use high-temperature rotary joints to find models, we must choose ones that match the working conditions.
